Volkswagen finally launched its iconic brand "Beetle" in India on Friday, 4th December, 2009 along with SUV "Touareg". The New Beetle comes with Complete Built Unit (CBU) will be priced at Rs 20.45 lakh due to heavy duty.

The all New VW Beetle is equipped with a 2.0 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 115bhp at 5400rpm also features 6 speed automatic transmission with 15“ alloy wheels, four airbags, ABS and ESP.

Much awaited People Car from Volkswagen "Beetle" is finally going to launch on Friday, 4th December, 2009 in India. Volkswagen has not revealed the price of their new launch Beetle but it is expected to be priced around RS. 18-20 Lakhs as the Beetle is coming to India as a Complete Build Unit and so it would levy 110 per cent custom duty on the car.

Volkswagen Beetle to be Launched in India this December

Volkswagen India will launch new Volkswagen Beetle in India this December. Volkswagen India is already selling the Passat, Jetta & the Touareg. Now they are planning a small new car Volkswagen Beetle for the Indian market.

Volkswagen Beetle was originally looks as "People's Car", but as per the price of Volkswagen Beetle will be around 20 lakh because the import duties are very high. As Tata Nano is very cheap compare to of Volkswagen Beetle.
