Volkswagen Vento Launches in India: Petrol & Diesel Car Price @ Rs. 6.99 & 7.99 Lakh

Volkswagen, Europe's largest car maker launched it's much awaited entry level premium sedan the Vento today. The Vento will be available to customers starting at Rs 6.99 lakhs, for the 1.6 litre petrol variant and Rs. 7.99 lakhs for the diesel variant, Ex. Showroom New Delhi.

Speaking about Volkswagen's market introduction of the Vento, Neeraj Garg, Member of Board and Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd said, "The New Vento, which stands for best in class features and German engineering is poised to set a benchmark in its segment. Designed for the Indian market it will be a strong addition to our product portfolio. Adding further he said, "The New Vento is an extension of our commitment towards the Indian consumers of providing the best quality products at competitive prices." The New Vento will go on sale from September 6, 2010 across India in all Volkswagen dealers.

The New Volkswagen Vento Features, Variant & Specifications:

The petrol variant of the Volkswagen Vento is equipped with a 1.6 litre engine with an output of 105PS @ 5250 rpm and a Torque of 153NM @ 3800 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gear box and boast of fuel efficiency of 15.83 Km/l and 14.4Km/l respectively. The diesel variant is also equipped with the 1.6 litre engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, with an output of 105PS @ 4400 rpm and a Torque of 250 NM @ 1500-2500 rpm and has a fuel efficiency of 20.54 Km/l.

The New Volkswagen Vento will be available in two trim levels including Trendline, Highline. The interior is equipped with storage compartment in front doors for 1 litre Bottles, sunglass storage inside glove box, foldable roof handles with coat hooks, front and rear centre armrest, cupholders and "Livon" fabric upholstery are proof of the sure instinct of high design quality which interprets the classic elements of the Vento in a contemporary way.

In exteriors too, the Vento offers Body colored bumpers, Chrome inlays in front grille, body coloured exterior door handles & mirrors (Highline), rough road package with increased ground clearance and partially zinc coated body with 6 years anti-rust warranty. Multi function information display including door opening warning, height adjustable driving seats, a steering wheel adjustable for reach and rake which improves the drivability of the passenger are also available. The Vento will establish a leadership position in its class with category defining attributes of space, style, comfort and safety. It will be manufactured at Volkswagen's Chakan plant with an annual capacity of 110,000 cars.

Volkswagen announced Prices of Vento starts at Rs 6.99 Lakhs, delivery from 6th September 2010

Volkswagen India announced the prices of its much talked sedan "Vento" based on Polo on Thursday, 12th August, 2010. Volkswagen Vento will be launched in 3 petrol variants and 2 diesel variants. These will be the Trendline Petrol, Highline Petrol, Highline Petrol Automatic whilst the oil-burner’s will be the Trendline Diesel and Highline Diesel.

Volkswagen India claims that the Vento petrol has a fuel efficienty of 15.83kmpl for the 5-speed manual and 14.4kmpl for the 6-speed automatic gearbox variant and 20.54kmpl on the diesel.

The delivery of Volkswagen Vento will start from 6th September, 2010 from the 47 VW dealerships.

Honda Jazz X Launched in India @ Price Rs. 7.53 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki Alto-K10: Price, Features, Specifications

Maruti Suzuki launched another version of Brand Alto, equipped with a K-series, 998 cc engine. This version, called 'Alto-K10', comes with improved suspension, new cable-type transmission, superior brake system and more knee-room for rear seat passengers.

The existing Maruti Alto clocks average sales of over 20,000 units every month. Maruti Suzuki expects the Maruti Alto-K10 to bring in additional customers.

Maruti launches New Alto K10 priced at Rs. 3.19 Lakhs, New Alto K10 Photos, Images

India's largest car manufacturer Maruti-Suzuki launched their much awaited new version of their highest selling small car Alto K10 on 4th August. New Alto is longer by 125mm and comes with new K series engine and 2 version LXi and the VXi. New Alto K10 have been given a fresh look with a newly designed front and rear lights.

The Alto K10 sports a 5- Speed Manual Transmission with Cable Gear Shift. The car also has front power windows and a key reminder a Central Locking System in place. The ground clearance of the car too is 160 mm. The Alto K10 is BS-IV, E-10 and ELV compliant.

The new Alto K10 will be available in six colours – sunlight Copper, Fire Brick Red, Ecru Beige, Midnight Black, Superior White and Silky Silver.
