Nissan Sunny Vs Honda City

Nissan Sunny has recently made its debut in one of the most competitive segments of Indian automotive industry i.e. sedan segment. Year after the launch of Nissan Micra, Sunny has launched by the company as to eat into the whole segment and also with the intention of business expansion. In fact, the industry of India has worth to have so because it’s surprisingly growing up as auto giant. Now it has reached onto the position of world’s second largest automobile industry and now has next in line to the throne.

But this segment has already been outpouring by the eminence of major auto giants like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Honda Motors, Toyota Motors, Hyundai India and Mahindra. Before the launch of Nissan’s Sunny they have already established their repo in this segment by the wheels of Swift Dzire, Indigo and Manza,
Honda City, Toyota Etios, Hyundai Accent, and Mahindra Verito. Among them Honda City becomes unlikely rival of it. Thus, the discussion about the differences between them would be welcome.

Variance in Engine

For Sunny Engine the displacement of 1498 cc has affixed by engineers so that it can acquire the competitiveness over performance. Along this they’ve also mated the HR15DE-type, DOHC 16 Valves, 4-Cylinder of technology with it as to backing up strongly. It can generate the maximum power and torque of 98.6 BHP at 6000 rpm and 134 NM at 4000 rpm. And with 5-speed manual gearbox transmission system, the Sunny provides a welcome mileage of 16.95 km/l that is certified by ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India).

At the competitive end, Honda City engine has challengingly powered by 1.5 liter 4-Cylinder SOHC of packaging. Also, the activeness of its performance is been mated with I-VTEC technology to carry the capacity of generating 116.3 BHP of power at 6600 rpm and 146 NM of torque at 4800 rpm respectively. But with 5-speed manual transmission system it’s also having an option of automatic transmission system. The City mileage of 16.7 km/l and 15.5 km/l is also vying to get winning stretch over Sunny mileage.

Variance in Price

Nissan Sunny prices are having the stretch of Rs. 5.78 lakh to Rs. 7.68 lakh whereas in comparison Honda City prices are having the spread of expensiveness by the tags between Rs. 7.49 lakh – Rs. 9.37 lakh.

Variance in Performance

In performance Nissan Sunny displays sheer class as whenever the matter of its handling comes. With controlled cornering capabilities it makes the drive most effective over Indian roads. And its active suspension system provides fantastic comfort level to occupants.

Honda City, on the other hand, is quite popular among the elite group of customers because of its effective handling and outmost comforts which comes by powerful suspensions. In addition, the steering wheel of City has been fitted with a weight that pleasingly provides balance while driving.

Verdict

Both of the cars are good example of Japanese engineering. So, in this segment customers are having good and also trustworthy options in the guise of both Nissan Sunny and Honda City. But at reasonable extent Sunny is good to be your choice as it’s spacious too than City.

Honda Motors planning to buzz with Honda City Diesel

Honda City is one of the genius works of Honda Motors that still defending strongly against its new-age techno rivals.
