Delhi Auto Expo 2012 - Maruti unviels XA Alpha SUV, Huyndai New Sonata, Chevrolet New Captiva on Day 1

11th Auto Expo 2012 started on Thursday, 5th January at Delhi as all the major brands going to showcase their future products. India's largest car maker Maruti-Suzuki unvieled it's new SUV concept XA Alpha on the first day which is a mascular and futuristic design.

Hyundai showcase it's all new Sonata based on it's new fluidic philosophy and getting more sharp lines and sleek look.

General Motors India showcased its all new Chevrolet Captaiva with more muscle and their new broad front grill with 2.2 litre diesel engine and 6 speed automatic transmission.

Ford also announced its new SUV EcoSport which lies above a hatchback and below SUV.

The New Hyundai Equus

The Hyundai Equus known as the Hyundai Centennial in the Middle East, is an upscale full-size luxury car that serves as the flagship model of Hyundai Motor Company worldwide, named after the Latin word for "horse". The Hyundai Equus is the largest and most expensive sedan in the company's lineup. In 2009, the company released a new version on a rear-wheel drive platform aimed to compete with the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8 and Lexus LS.

New Skoda car models at New Delhi Auto Expo 2012

The Czech auto major Skoda planing to attract the Indian Skoda car buyers with display of new Skoda car models at the New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 in January. Skoda Auto will come with its very well admired VisionD concept and MissionL concept which was displayed at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. With it, the company will also display the much awaited and already announced premium small car, Skoda Citigo at the New Delhi Auto Expo 2012. Here we are indicating price, features and specifications of these new Skoda car models.

MissionL:

MissionL the most popular concept for upcoming Skoda sedan car by near future. Skoda to develop this innovative Skoda sedan on the base of MissionL concept. The new MissionL sedan is expected just like Volkswagen Vento and the successor of newly launched Skoda Rapid sedan. The company will offer a four-door version of MissionL to the Indian buyers.

MissionL will be fully inspired with popular Skoda car models available India like Skoda Fabia and Skoda Laura. It will be offered in the both 1.6L petrol and diesel engine models just like Volkswagen Vento. MissionL price is expected to fall in the range of Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh at ex-showroom and it may break the market share of Volkswagen Vento, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Verna, Nissan Sunny and Honda City.


Skoda Citigo:

Skoda will also display the much awaited premium small car Skoda Citigo at the New Delhi Auto Expo 2012. Skoda Citigo is fully based on the popular small car Volkswagen Up that will also be launched in the Indian auto market by near future. The compact hatchback Skoda Citigo is expected in the bracket of Rs. 4 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh at ex-showroom Delhi. And it will be available only in petrol model that has a 1-litre petrol mill under the hood making out massive power of 60 PS and 75 PS.

Skoda Citigo review indicated that it will be offered in both manual and automatic transmissions system options which offer great choice to buyers. Skoda Citigo is expected an answer to Hyundai i10, Tata Indica eV2, Honda Brio, Renault Pulse, Toyota Etios Liva and Chevrolet Beat in terms of price, features and performance.

On the other hand some of newly launched car models in India in 2011 are New Honda City, new Tata Nano, Skoda Rapid, Hyundai Eon, Nissan Sunny, new Tata Indica Vista, Force One, New Maruti Swift, New Volkswagen Jetta, New Honda Jazz, Honda Brio, Toyota Etios Liva, Ford Fiesta, Chevrolet Beat diesel, Audi A6, Tata Aria 4x2, new Tata Indica Xeta, Mahindra XUV 500 etc.
