India's Major car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki is all set to expand its share in the A2 segment of cars with the launch of Maruti Suzuki Ritz, also known as Maruti Spalsh, in India. Maruti Suzuki Ritz, India's first BS-IV compliant passenger car, will be launched on Friday (May 15).The suspension of the vehicle with a ground clearance of 170 mm has been tuned for Indian road conditions.

According to the company's official website, the car poses a clean, bold and stylish external and internal design, largely deviating from the traditional Maruti Suzuki car looks and feel.The price of Maruti Suzuki Ritz will be set to target around A-star rage and would compete with Hyundai i series. Maruti Suzuki Ritz cost is expected to be around 4 to 5.7 lac.
The car will be made available in total six variants, three petrol type and three variants in diesel versions.
Maruti Suzuki Ritz Specifications include 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre common rail diesel engine. Its power specifications would be, for Petrol - 85bhp/114Nm and Diesel engine specifications include 75bhp/190Nm.The tallboy hatchback has a contemporary European design and is positioned at the growing premium-end of the compact car market.
Keeping in mind the requirements of target group of middle and upper middle class families, Maruti Suzuki has designed the car with style, design, comfort, savings and space. The suspension of the vehicle with a ground clearance of 170 mm has been tuned for Indian road conditions.The Maruti Ritz will be available with two different engine options: a brand new K-series 1.2 litre, four-cylinder, 85PS Petrol engine and the super-successful 1.3 litre, 16-valve DDiS, 75PS Diesel engine.
